Dresses in the past

I am a student of fashion designing and had to research about the clothes, arms and insignia that the aristocrats of the past wore. I wanted to research about a House that people have not researched about before. Some amount of reading and I decided that I would research on the apparel and insignia of the Militare Ordine del Collare of the House of Aragon. I got to know all that I wanted to and some more from http://www.mocsta.eu. I was surprised and intrigued to know that all the members of the Order had to wear different arms and insignia as per their rank in the Order. For example, there is no uniform prescribed for Dames of the Military Order of the Collar. Dames of the Order had to wear on all formal occasions a suitable dress preferably of black or some other dark colour with black shoes, white gloves and a black mantilla or some other head covering while a Professed Knight of the Order had to wear under the robe in summer, knee breeches with white stockings and in winter, black trousers. Black shoes had to be worn in all seasons. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I also got pictures of some of the Kings of the House in all their regalia and used them to make my research more interesting. My research was in the top five, thanks to this wonderful site.
Art at its best

I am passionate about art and took a liking for painting at a very young. My father lovingly called me “Da Vinci junior” then and this inspired me even more. I started learning drawing and painting from a local teacher who taught me the basics. After high school, I decided that I wanted to do a course in fine arts to become a professional painter. I wanted to get admission in a school which followed traditional styles of painting. I had heard about Militare Ordine del Collare and came to know that The Real Aula Mallorquesa offers studies in various subjects related to the House of Aragon. I had seen some paintings of that era and decided that this was something I wanted to pursue. I researched about them on http://realaula.homestead.com. I read more and learnt the intricate aspects of painting. The teachers I made contact with have immense knowledge and art skills and it was a pleasure learning under their tutorage. I have recently displayed a collection of my paintings at a reputed art museum and have got a good response from people.

Militaire Ordine Del Collare; ever heard of this phrase? If not then visit the link http://www.humsurfer.com. This link provides thorough information on the Order of the Collar of the royal house of Aragon, Sicily and Majorca. Even I was unaware of the fact that such a word and a history behind it ever existed in reality. But after surfing on the internet and coming across this site, I came to know that its there really. I was very excited to come across an interesting site, which had information about kings and knights, fortress and horses, etc. All this information really got me reading the whole story and believe me now I can write my own synopsis on it. Never had I thought before, that I would come across any such thing. I jotted down the important facts and kept it for my reference.
People who like to surf the Internet to find interesting facts, can certainly browse this site, for it has a lot in store for them. At least for me this site has been useful. But still I would like to recommend this site to all the online users to check it out once and get information on a range of issues and particularly if this topic has got you curious then do log on to this site definitely.
